The Curse of Knowledge

The Duct Tape Marketing Podcast had a very interesting interview with Chip Heath, the author of Made to Stick. One of his main points about ideas that stick is that they should be simple. He discusses the Curse of Knowledge, which causes experts to try to communicate ideas at an unnecessary level of complexity. I think that is the problem with most marketing blogs. They are so wordy and off topic that it is difficult to extract ideas of value. Simplicity is essential to spreading ideas effectively.
